We are a collaboration of songwriters, musicians, and audio professionals producing customized music and songs to help you commemorate those one-of-a-kind moments.
We’ll help you figure out how to say what you want to say, and then we’ll record a production of your song, for you to keep, to enjoy, and to play — forever.
How does the Magic Happen?
It all begins with a phone call, or an e-mail.
First, we’ll meet—over Zoom, at a local coffee shop, on the phone, or even just e-mail—and we'll ask you questions—LOTS of questions—about the type of event, the people involved, and the type of music you may be looking for. The more information you can provide us at this stage, the better we'll be able to create the perfect song or music for you. Sometimes, you may know exactly what you want; other times, you know you want something great, but you're not sure exactly what. Don't worry; we'll figure it out.

The production will include adding instruments and parts as needed, professionally mix and master the song, and polish it to a professional sheen. You’ll receive this fully-produced recording of your song, along with a lyrics sheet if needed, in whatever format you need, such as .mp3 or .wav file. It is now yours to play and enjoy!
Then, based on our discussions, we’ll create a first draft of the song, known as a 'demo'. The demo will be your first chance to listen to the song or music. Then, you’ll be able to offer your feedback, which we will then incorporate into the final production.

We’re happy to hop genres to satisfy most any musical taste, including singer/songwriter-style acoustic folk, punk rock, and more. But we mostly were raised in the proud tradition of classic 60’s and 70’s British Invasion and American rock ‘n’ roll, citing influences from the Beatles to The Boss, and from Motown to Talking Heads.

Anyone who wants a custom song or piece of music for any occasion, or for no occasion at all! We've created songs for weddings, love letters, birthdays, anniversaries and also just-for-fun. We've even written music for corporate leadership retreats!

A production from The Song Factory starts at $3,000. This price covers the initial consultation, the first draft, one round of feedback, and the final production. Additional rounds of feedback, major changes of direction/genre, additional verses, etc. will cost additional fees. During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss your project needs, and arrive at a price that works well for everyone.
If the project needs change after the initial consultation, we’ll discuss any extra charges well before starting additional work.

Since you are entirely engaged with us in the creation of the song from its inception, this is highly unlikely, and in fact has never happened. But if it did, we’d be happy to refund any payment made beyond a fair compensation for the time investment to that point.
